Adjunct Faculty - Social Work & Human Services (Evergreen)

The Opportunity Lesley University always welcomes applications for adjunct faculty to teach upcoming daytime or evening classes for our areas in Social Work and Human Services at the graduate and undergraduate level. Classes in this department are either taught in-person or remote depending on the specific course. Since adjunct faculty positions are ongoing, evergreen positions, your materials will remain on file and will be reviewed on an as-needed basis throughout the upcoming semesters. By submitting your application, you will be put into consideration for current and future adjunct positions within the Social Work subject area. We hire adjunct faculty on a regular cadence to support our Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. The specific course hired for is subject to change depending on semester, course catalog, and department needs. About Mental Health & Wellbeing Our programs in Mental Health & Well-Being start with undergraduate degrees in Psychology+, our unique multidisciplinary psychology program that includes specializations and dual degrees, ranging from Holistic Psychology to Expressive Therapies. Our Master's degrees in Counseling & Psychology include specializations in School and Community, Holistic Studies, and Trauma Studies as well as Expressive Therapies where Lesley is one of the few universities offering all five modalities Art, Dance, Drama, Music, and Expressive Arts. In our Ph.D. program, students work closely with their faculty advisor to choose their dissertation topic, after engaging in rigorous coursework, as part of a cohort of passionate, creative scholars. Our programs also include both undergraduate and graduate programs in Social Work, and a unique master's in Mindfulness Studies, where students are at the forefront of bringing this discipline into many professional and personal pursuits. Qualities & Capabilities Required

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • License in Social Work, Mental Health, or relevant field
  • Demonstrated successful experience teaching in the particular discipline at the undergraduate level for undergraduate courses, or graduate level for graduate courses
  • A commitment to integrating social justice practices into the curriculum Preferred
