About the Client Our client is a retail crypto platform that facilitates the buying, selling, and swapping of cryptocurrencies in over 180 countries. Users can leverage a variety of payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, and Apple Pay, to engage in fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions. Offering a custodial wallet and supporting transactions across 65+ currencies, the platform is a gateway for retail users entering the crypto space. Role Overview As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in the rapidly evolving crypto industry. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex compliance cases independently, contributing to the company's mission of providing a secure and efficient crypto transaction platform. You will engage with cutting-edge blockchain tools and collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and enhance compliance measures.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage AML, sanctions, and compliance cases. Conduct CDD/EDD reviews, corporate onboarding, and risk assessments. Perform sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR escalations. Use blockchain analytics tools and KYC/KYB platforms daily. Identify and escalate suspicious activities and red flags. Review and maintain compliance policies and internal documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Fraud, Legal, Operations, and Customer Support. Propose process improvements from month six onward. Requirements 3+ years of experience in AML, compliance, or risk management within crypto, fintech, or blockchain environments. Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, and EU regulatory frameworks. Hands-on experience with blockchain monitoring tools and KYC/KYB platforms. Fluency in English — written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting risk assessments. Languages: English. Key Soft Skills Ownership mindset. Continuous improver. Analytical thinker.
