CAD/CAM Technical Support Specialist Location: United States Status: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% travel required Compensation: Depends on Experience We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled CAD/CAM Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, supporting customers, and working with advanced dental technology in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD/CAM experience within the dental industry and a passion for delivering exceptional customer support and training. This position plays a critical role in supporting customers with installation, troubleshooting, training, and ongoing technical support related to dental milling machines, scanners, CAD software, and CAM software. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, communicating with customers across multiple channels, and traveling to customer sites as needed. Position Summary: The CAD/CAM Technical Support Specialist supports and maintains all facets related to CAD/CAM installation, customer training, troubleshooting, and technical support via phone, email, text, and in-person interactions. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful equipment implementation, customer satisfaction, and ongoing technical performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for dental milling machines, CAM software, dental scanners, and CAD software.
  • Coordinate equipment installations and customer training sessions.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections on equipment prior to delivery and installation.
  • Create and maintain customer-facing documentation including user manuals, guides, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions within the customer support database.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CAD/CAM technology trends, software updates, and industry best practices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting customers both remotely and onsite.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software performance issues.
  • Support customers through installation setup, workflow optimization, and operational training.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience within a CAD/CAM environment.
  • Strong understanding of dental milling machines, CAM software, dental scanners, and CAD software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature fluctuations, equipment noise, chemical odors, and production machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform repetitive upper-extremity movements.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse, office, and production environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while traveling, working at a desk, or attending meetings.
  • Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity required for inspections, equipment handling, and technical tasks.
  • Frequent communication via phone, email, text, and in-person customer interactions.
