Job Description

This is a remote position. We are seeking a talented and creative Digital Media Content Creator to support our community engagement efforts by designing and producing high-quality visual and video assets for social media, marketing, and promotional use. This role is ideal for someone passionate about content creation, digital media, and brand storytelling. You will work closely with the Community Manager to develop engaging visuals, videos, and marketing materials that resonate with our audience. This is a freelance position that offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to a growing brand. Freelancer Status Notice: This is an independent contractor position. Freelancers are not employees of Barks & Rec or its vendors/partners. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws. This role does not include employee benefits, workers' compensation, or other employment-related provisions. Position Details:

• Expected Hours: 4 hours per week
• Location: Remote
• Flexibility: Choose your own hours, deadlines set by project requirements
• Education: No formal education required, but experience in digital media, graphic design, video editing, or marketing is a plus

What We're Looking For:

• Strong skills in graphic design, video editing, and digital content creation
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator), or similar enterprise-grade tools
• Ability to create engaging social media content, including posters, motion graphics, and short-form video (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Basic understanding of social media trends and how to tailor content for different platforms
• Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the Community Manager and Director of Operations

Requirements:

• Design & Content Creation:
• Design and produce eye-catching graphics, posters, and digital assets for use across Discord, Telegram, Patreon, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
• Create short-form video content for social media (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and motion graphics for engagement
• Edit and enhance existing photos/videos for marketing use
• Collaboration & Strategy:
• Work closely with the Community Manager to ensure content aligns with brand identity and engagement strategy
• Develop templates and reusable assets to streamline content creation
• Assist in adapting content for various social media platforms
• File Management & Optimization:
• Organize and maintain a library of assets (graphics, videos, animations) for easy access by the Community Manager
• Optimize video and image file sizes for different platforms without losing quality
• Reporting & Revisions:
• Collect feedback from the Community Manager and revise assets as needed
• Provide basic performance insights on content effectiveness (which posts/videos perform best, engagement levels, etc.)
