Job Description

As a Customer Service Associate III, you will be responsible for handling moderate to complex inquiries, addressing various types of policies and billing inquiries from internal or external customers in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner. You will resolve service concerns while documenting customer requests and completing changes to policies. Your service to customers may include inbound/outbound calls, incoming correspondence, other communications sources, and call transfers for service transactions.

Key Responsibilities

* Inputs and tracks customer information into the appropriate databases.

  • Remains current on new marketing campaigns to respond appropriately to marketing-related inquiries using all available resource tools.
  • Handles requests regarding customer documentation, including all documents sent out by our company, and clearly explains them, including any follow-ups required on our customer's part and updates as warranted.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of insurance policies and related processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrates accuracy in processing changes to customer policies based on the information provided and identifies opportunities for cross-sales (if applicable).
  • Employs probing questions and actively listens to customer issues or questions, showing interest and compassion and displaying empathy for the caller's situation.
  • Ensures facilitation of first call resolution and customer satisfaction on all transactions handled.
  • Resolves routine, complex, and unique questions/issues.

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)

  • 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in using technology and software applications

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the insurance industry

  • Knowledge of insurance policies and related processes and procedures
  • Certification in customer service or a related field

* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive issues

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Proficiency in using technology and software applications, including CRM systems and other customer service tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
