Job Summary
As a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for our clients, providing expert guidance and support on our insurance products. You'll be responsible for:
- Responding to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Initiating endorsements and policy changes for customers
- Processing and transmitting necessary information to clients and brokers via various channels
- Assisting applicants and brokers with application completion and required forms
- Collaborating with the underwriting team to obtain information from clients and brokers
- Escalating customer service issues to management as needed
- Participating in special projects and initiatives to enhance customer experience
- Providing expert guidance on insurance products, including billing questions and policy changes
- Actively seeking opportunities to upsell and cross-sell value-added services
- Reviewing and rewriting current accounts to ensure optimal carrier fit
- Maintaining accurate client information and files, including communication and activities in our agency management system
- Staying up-to-date on changes in carrier plans and policies
- Continuously educating yourself on industry developments and best practices
- Building strong relationships with clients, carriers, and agents
Competencies
To excel in this role, you'll need to possess:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Property & Casualty Producer's License (preferred but not required)
- High School Diploma or recognized equivalent
