General/Tax Accountant (Live Anywhere EST/CST)

Responsibilities
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Reach out to and partner with internal teams via phone and email across all stores, offices, and distribution centers to collect critical operational information.
- Verify Site-Specific Data: Confirm precise, location-based details required for compliance and other specific licensing prerequisites.
- Manage Data Compliance: Maintain accurate, complete records for the company's extensive portfolio of facility and business licenses.
- Facilitate the Licensing Pipeline: Upload all verified location data into our third-party partner platform to initiate and seamlessly complete license applications and renewals.

Required Skills
- 2+ years working in an accounting-type role (exposure to Tax accounting)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience working within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to navigate location records, pull data, or manage portfolio details
- Strong foundational understanding of basic accounting principles, including General Ledger (GL), Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and Gross Receipts, which are critical foundation knowledge
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, with a high comfort level using email and phone to actively reach out to internal teams.
- Exceptionally organized with a proven track record of strong follow-up skills to manage deadlines and track down missing data across multiple locations.
- CPA not required
