Position Summary

The Lead Data Quality Analyst at careerzynith will be the guardian of the highest‑quality customer and contract data across the enterprise. You will own the end‑to‑end data quality lifecycle—identifying issues, designing remediation plans, executing cleansing projects, and establishing sustainable controls. By partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders, you will translate data quality challenges into actionable roadmaps that align with careerzynith’s strategic priorities and data governance vision. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team of data professionals, product owners, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Quality Assessment & Issue Management

  • Identify, analyze, assess, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on data anomalies and develop corrective action plans that prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a living catalogue of data quality incidents, prioritizing them based on business impact and governance principles.

Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration

  • Forge strong partnerships with Customer Solutions, Product, Engineering, and other functional teams to design and implement data quality improvement plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions that surface data challenges, align expectations, and secure commitment to remediation timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data quality inquiries, providing clear guidance and status updates to stakeholders at all levels.

Data Cleansing & Standardization Projects

  • Lead end‑to‑end data cleansing initiatives, from scoping and resource planning to execution and post‑implementation validation.
  • Develop and enforce standardized transactional processes that enable smooth handoff to long‑term data owners.
  • Leverage advanced Excel, SQL, and Power BI techniques to transform, de‑duplicate, and enrich data sets.

Data Integrity Maintenance & Metrics

  • Create, monitor, and report on data quality metrics that reflect the current state of data integrity and the success of improvement initiatives.
  • Design automated controls and validation rules that safeguard data at ingestion, transformation, and consumption stages.
  • Document data rules, definitions, lineage, and calculations in collaboration with the Data Governance senior manager.

Governance Enablement & Culture Building

  • Partner with the Data Governance senior manager to embed a culture of data accountability across careerzynith.
  • Support the rollout of careerzynith’s Customer Solutions Data Governance vision, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, dashboards, and communications that translate complex data quality findings into business‑friendly insights.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data quality, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience leading data transformation and cleansing projects.
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and data modeling fundamentals.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Power BI, including complex formulas, scripting, and visual analytics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data governance principles—data definitions, calculations, source documentation, lineage, and stewardship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative or data‑focused discipline.
  • Experience with Integrated Data Networks (IDN) and Definitive Data concepts, especially within the healthcare or financial services sectors.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Talend, or Collibra.
  • Prior exposure to cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift).
  • Certification in Data Governance, Data Management, or related fields (e.g., DAMA‑CDMP, DGSP).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical mindset: Ability to dissect large data sets, spot patterns, and derive actionable insights.
  • Communication excellence: Translate technical findings into clear, concise narratives for non‑technical audiences.
  • Project leadership: Manage multiple concurrent projects, set realistic timelines, and deliver results on schedule.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, fostering trust and shared ownership of data quality goals.
