Licensed Counselor or Social Worker - Full-Time or Part-Time - 100% Remote - VA License Required
As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking multiple Licensed Counselors and Social Workers to build part-time or full-time caseloads working with virtual charter school students in individual and group sessions via Zoom. These positions are for the upcoming school year. Counselor/Social Worker Position Details:
- No minimum or maximum caseloads, schedule according to your availability
- School hours are preferred
- Virtual platform for service delivery will be provided
- School-based experience working with students on Individualized Education Programs is required
Counselor/Social Worker Qualifications:
- Must hold one of the following credentials in Virginia:
- Virginia Department of Health (VA DOH) School Social Work License
- Virginia Department of Health (VA DOH) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) License with endorsement in School Social Work
- Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) School Counselor Certification
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Counselor/Social Worker Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing Behavioral Support Services
- Driving student achievement for students with disabilities
- Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Handling Medicare reimbursements
