Part-Time Recruiting Specialist (1099 | Remote)

Enjoy interviewing candidates but don’t want to own the full recruiting process? This role focuses on conducting phone screens, evaluating candidates using clear criteria, and keeping the hiring process moving. It’s structured, consistent, and designed for someone who prefers part-time work.

  • *What You’ll Do
  • Conduct structured phone interviews
  • Evaluate candidates and move them through stages
  • Document clear interview notes and recommendations
  • Manage candidates in the ATS
  • Assist with scheduling and candidate communication
  • Monitor job postings and flag issues
  • *What We’re Looking For
  • Experience conducting phone screens or candidate interviews preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to lead professional, structured conversations
  • Clear and concise written communication for interview notes and candidate updates
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable using ATS platforms, scheduling tools, and basic technology
  • Ability to work independently and stay on track without close supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand different roles, including technical positions
  • Comfortable researching unfamiliar topics and building working knowledge of roles being filled
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to ask thoughtful questions to better understand candidate experience
  • Able to pick up on terminology and communicate confidently with candidates
  • Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States
  • Fluent, professional English communication (verbal and written), including the ability to conduct phone interviews

  • 15–20 hours per week
  • Remote, flexible structure with general daytime availability
  • 1099 contractor role
  • Designed as a long-term part-time position (not full-time track)
