Producer / Music Supervisor
This is a full-time, Los Angeles-based role with benefits available. Role Overview: The Elements Music is looking for a full-time, Los Angeles-based Producer / Music Supervisor who can manage high-level custom music and supervision projects end-to-end, and actively drive new business through meaningful client relationships in the ad agency and brand worlds. - A Producer with at least 4 years of relevant experience managing complex creative projects. We’re open to rising producers and seasoned industry vets/EPs alike, with compensation reflective of experience.
- Well-versed in music supervision and/or sync licensing, with superb taste in music, a sharp instinct for what works on screen, and a strong working knowledge of the clearance and licensing process.
- A warm, clear communicator who has a natural flair for client comms
- Able to keep a project timeline humming and on-schedule
- Strong organizational skills and comfortable with CRM, spreadsheet, and project management tools
- Deeply familiar with the music-for-media landscape - you understand how music gets made, cleared, and placed
- Well-connected in the ad agency and brand worlds - you have real relationships with creatives and producers, and know how to nurture them
- You enjoy being out in the industry - events, screenings, and client meetings energize rather than drain you
- You thrive in a growing, bustling environment and feel at home with tight deadlines, a fair bit of pressure, and occasional long hours - you appreciate a culture that’s always pushing for excellence
What You'll Do: Project Coordination & Production
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the life of a project - from initial client brief through final delivery
- Own all project scheduling, timelines, and logistics, keeping multiple projects smoothly moving forward simultaneously
- Handle all core admin for your projects - bids, invoicing, PRO registrations, etc.
- Keep meticulous project records and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Music Supervision
- Oversee creative music searches
- Negotiate rights and manage clearances
- Source and liaise with talent and their representatives to help guide custom composition and artist collaboration projects
Industry & Client Relationships
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with agency producers, creative directors, music supervisors, brand music leads, and other key decision makers
- Bring your existing industry network to the table and continue growing it
- Represent The Elements Music at industry events, screenings, showcases, and festivals - some evening and weekend avails required
Qualifications
- You read the “About You" section and thought to yourself "that's me, all day”
- 4+ years experience in a similar role
- Air-tight verbal and written comms skills
- World-class organizational skills and high comfort level on relevant software platforms
- Music supervision experience across both creative and clearance/licensing
- Existing relationships with key players in the ad agency and brand worlds - an existing “book of clients” you’ll bring into the fold
- True “people person” vibes, and a willingness to be out and about repping the company
- Good-hearted human being and teammate
