Role Description The Publishing Intern (Flexible, ~10 hrs/week) will support the creation, organization, and refinement of digital learning materials, including worksheets, activity guides, lesson outlines, and downloadable resources for kids and families. This internship role involves formatting and proofreading educational content, preparing materials for publication on partner platforms, and helping maintain a consistent brand voice across documents and resources. The role includes regular communication to understand learning objectives and to iterate on drafts based on feedback and student outcomes. This is a remote internship role with flexible hours, ideal for someone interested in education, publishing, or instructional design.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills for educational or youth-friendly content, with the ability to adapt tone to be clear, engaging, and age-appropriate.
- Attention to detail in proofreading, formatting, and organizing documents, including consistent use of templates, headings, and visual structure.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (e.g., Google Docs/Slides, PDF editors, content management or file organization systems) to create and update materials.
- Interest in education, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, or project-based learning, and a willingness to learn the Kelly Tutors style and systems.
- Strong time management skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment with clear, proactive communication.
- Current student or recent graduate in education, communications, writing, publishing, instructional design, or a related field is preferred but not required.

This is an unpaid educational training program with Kelly Tutors LLC for current/recent students/graduates and/or non-US residents. There is no expectation of compensation or future employment. You will gain weekly 1-on-1 mentorship with the founder, real portfolio work, a professional recommendation letter, and hands-on experience building a growing education brand. Program duration is 5 months with the option to extend.
