[Remote] Accounting Associate

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Small Batch Standard is a remote accounting, tax, and consulting firm dedicated to the craft brewing industry. They are seeking a Brewery Accounting Associate to support the bookkeeping needs of brewery clients and grow into a brewery accounting specialist.

Responsibilities

• Handle the day‑to‑day AP and bookkeeping work for a set of brewery clients in Bill.com and QuickBooks Online
• Maintain clean, accurate QBO bank feeds by matching transactions, entering payroll, and keeping bank and POS syncs current
• Support monthly close work by collecting and preparing statements and documentation for your Accountant teammates
• Communicate with brewery clients to request information, resolve questions, and keep their accounting moving smoothly
• Collaborate closely with our Accountants and other Associates so they have what they need from your work to complete monthly close and compliance filings

Skills

• 1+ year of experience as an Accounting Associate, Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant or similar
• Comfort working with multiple clients or entities at once (public firm, outsourced accounting, or similar experience is a plus)
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online; experience with Bill.com is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment (prior remote experience helpful but not required)
• Reliable internet, a quiet setup for video calls, and availability during normal business hours (9–5, Monday–Friday)
• Must be based in the U.S. and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Experience with brewery or inventory-heavy, accrual-based clients
• Prior experience with tools like Square, Toast, Gusto, Podio or Asana
