[Remote] Operations RPA Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SyntheticFi is a fast-growing FinTech startup redefining how financial advisors and their clients access sophisticated lending products. The Operations RPA Engineer will be responsible for automating and improving processes within the operations team, leveraging low code tools and AI-driven workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain automation workflows using tools such as Zapier, Retool, Make, Power Automate, n8n, or similar platforms
- Integrate operational systems through APIs, databases, and third-party platforms
- Create dashboards, reporting tools, and operational infrastructure to improve visibility and decision-making
- Leverage AI and agentic workflows to automate internal processes and improve operational efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and implementation guides
- Communicate with advisors and custodian partners to learn about stakeholder requirements and debug process issues
- Manage new client account setup, documentation, and serve as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries
- Identify manual and repetitive workflows and design automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability
Skills
- 3+ years of experience
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building automations using tools such as Zapier, Retool, Make, Power Automate, n8n, UiPath, or similar platforms
- Experience working with APIs, SQL databases, and structured or unstructured data
- Understanding of AI-powered workflows and agentic automation concepts
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- US citizen/visa only
- Experience working with RIA custodians such as Charles Schwab, Pershing, Fidelity, or similar institutions
- Experience supporting advisor, brokerage, wealth management, fintech, or RIA operations
- Strong understanding of account opening, transfers, and operational workflows
- Experience designing internal tools, dashboards, or reporting systems
- Basic scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
- Experience evaluating, implementing, or managing AI tools in business operations
