[Remote] Operations Technician

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optomi is partnering with a leading services provider to seek an Operations Technician for their Network Operations Center (NOC). This role is vital for maintaining broadband network reliability and involves monitoring network alarms, troubleshooting issues, and providing support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network alarms and proactively respond to service events
  • Open, manage, escalate, and close trouble tickets in accordance with procedures
  • Analyze, diagnose, isolate, and resolve broadband network issues
  • Coordinate with field operations, technical support, and escalation teams
  • Provide Tier I support across supported broadband platforms
  • Document outages, maintenance activities, and repair actions clearly
  • Manage multiple trouble reports and prioritize critical service events
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and off-net providers
  • Support overnight and off-hours coverage as part of a 24x7 NOC rotation

Skills

  • Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operational environment
  • Experience working in network operations, telecom, or a NOC environment
  • Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting network devices remotely
  • Familiarity with broadband platforms such as CALIX, ADTRAN, UMC1000, or AFC
  • Understanding of Broadband / DSLAM network topology
  • Basic knowledge of telecom network architecture and repair procedures
