Role Overview

We are seeking a Remote Part‑Time Online Chat Support Specialist to join the careerzynith team. In this role, you will be the friendly voice (or text) behind our clients’ websites, responding to live chat inquiries, guiding shoppers through the purchase journey, and providing helpful information that drives sales and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy conversational interaction, have a knack for quick problem‑solving, and are eager to grow within a dynamic, remote‑first organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to live chat messages on client websites, ensuring a response time of under 30 seconds whenever possible.
  • Answer customer questions about products, services, pricing, and availability with accurate, concise information.
  • Provide sales links, promotional codes, and discount offers to encourage conversion and increase average order value.
  • Assist customers in navigating the careerzynith platform (formerly Squarespace) to locate product details, size guides, and support resources.
  • Process orders, verify payment details, and confirm shipping information while maintaining data privacy and security standards.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate support tier, documenting the interaction for future reference.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to stay updated on current promotions, new product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and brand‑aligned tone in all communications, reflecting careerzynith’s commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Track key performance metrics such as chat volume, response time, satisfaction scores, and conversion rates, providing regular feedback to management.
  • Continuously improve personal knowledge of the products and services offered by careerzynith’s partner businesses through self‑directed learning and training sessions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills with an ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download) and a dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • Access to a computer (desktop, laptop, or tablet) capable of running web‑based chat tools and video conferencing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions, adhere to scripts when needed, and adapt tone to match brand guidelines.

  • Self‑motivation and the capacity to work independently while meeting scheduled shift commitments (20‑30 hours per week).
