[Remote] Sr. Full Stack Developer

The Sr. Full Stack Developer is a key contributor to the development of Datascan’s highly flexible web services SAAS platform, responsible for advancing the core product through new capabilities and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex and scalable web applications
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to junior developers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine project requirements
  • Work closely with technical leads and architects to develop new and existing solutions of varying degrees of complexity
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Develop and implement automated tests to ensure code quality and functionality
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Assist junior members of team as needed
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership with the development team
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and guide the team in adopting new tools and frameworks

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and a minimum of 4 years of experience or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years experience
  • Strong understanding of technologies such as ASP.NET, .NET MAUI, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, jQuery
  • Extensive experience in mobile application development
  • Experience submitting an application to Apple App Store and the Google Play Store
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Eager to learn new technologies and capable of looking for pragmatic solutions to problems
  • Focus on software quality via developer testing and test automation
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Agile and Scrum processes and Jira
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of software development principles and methodologies
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills

Benefits

  • Full time (40 hours per week).
  • This position is a remote position with occasional work from the office for business need.  The position requires on-call support and off-hour availability.   Dallas-based preferred.
  • For all remote positions - employees may be required to attend in-person meetings, trainings, or other business-related activities at designated company locations from time to time. Advance notice will be provided for any required onsite presence. All employees are expected to comply with these in-person requirements as part of their role.
