Software QA Engineer

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to help drive quality across our distributed SaaS ecosystem. You will build and maintain automated test suites, strengthen our CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and reliable. This is a hands‑on engineering role within a modern, collaborative team focused on continuous improvement, transparency, and delivering high‑impact products. What You'll Do: Manual & Exploratory Testing Execute manual test cases for UI, API, and end‑to‑end user workflows. Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and user-impacting defects. Document clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. Validate business requirements and user acceptance criteria through hands‑on testing. Automation Engineering Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, API, microservices, and integration layers. Contribute to scalable, reusable automation frameworks stored in GitHub. Create validations for distributed systems, service‑to‑service interactions, queues, and API contracts. Quality Ownership Work closely with developers and product partners to understand story details and test requirements. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution. Support exploratory, UAT, and end‑to‑end testing for user‑focused scenarios. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Participate in code reviews, GitHub workflows, and team automation practices. Engage in team learning sessions and internal quality improvement initiatives. Contribute ideas to improve testing approaches and overall product quality. What You'll Need to be Successful: Core Skills Individual must be Bilingual in Spanish & English (verbal and written) 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in QA automation or test engineering. Familiarity with writing test cases, test plans, and defect documentation. Understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and user‑flow validation Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation. Understanding of WebdriverIO and/or Playwright. Proven ability to automate UI, API, and integration scenarios. Familiar with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar cloud platforms. Tooling & Engineering Basics Familiarity with Git and version control workflows. Basic understanding of REST APIs and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM). Awareness of CI/CD principles is beneficial. Data & Application Knowledge Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries. Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM). Ways of Working Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality. Curiosity and adaptability with a desire to continually improve testing skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to SQL basics. Awareness of performance or accessibility testing concepts. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) through university or personal projects.
