This role plays a key part in defining how stories are told across digital, social, video, and emerging platforms, ensuring consistency, emotional resonance, and strategic alignment. You will collaborate closely with brand, marketing, and communications leaders to ensure all content reflects organizational goals and audience needs. The position requires strong creative vision, editorial leadership, and the ability to translate data and insights into impactful storytelling. This is a highly visible role that directly influences brand perception, engagement, and organizational impact. Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead a unified content and creative strategy aligned with brand, marketing, fundraising, and audience engagement objectives
  • Oversee the creation of multi-format content across digital, social, print, video, and emerging channels to ensure consistent storytelling and messaging
  • Define and maintain governance standards for voice, tone, visual identity, accessibility, and content quality across all platforms
  • Lead creative direction and development of storytelling concepts that elevate campaigns, initiatives, and organizational priorities
  • Identify and shape compelling human-centered stories from across stakeholders, including patients, researchers, advocates, and partners
  • Leverage audience insights, research, and performance data to optimize content effectiveness and engagement strategies
  • Oversee content performance measurement, ensuring continuous optimization based on data, testing, and audience behavior
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, brand, digital, and communications teams to ensure alignment and execution of content strategy
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team, ensuring strong collaboration, efficiency, and high-quality output
  • Manage external agencies, vendors, and production partners to support scalable creative execution

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in content strategy, creative direction, editorial leadership, or integrated marketing communications
  • Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary creative and content teams
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in multi-format storytelling across digital, visual, video, and emerging platforms
  • Deep understanding of audience engagement, content performance metrics, and digital content strategy
  • Expertise in brand storytelling, narrative development, and visual identity systems
  • Strong conceptual thinking, writing, and creative leadership capabilities
  • Experience working with agencies, production partners, or external creative vendors
  • Ability to translate data and insights into actionable creative and content strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience
