Sr. Dispatcher
About the position Are you ready to drive change, lead with impact, and keep things moving—literally? We're looking for a Senior Dispatcher who's not just passionate about transportation logistics, but thrives on orchestrating smooth deliveries, eliminating roadblocks, and keeping operations rolling with precision and purpose. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM Pay: $70,000 - $80,000.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage drivers across your assigned region—hiring, mentoring, and making key performance decisions.
- Leverage tech, TMS systems, and strategic thinking to optimize shipments, consolidate routes, and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to schedule and communicate deliveries—on time, every time.
- Troubleshoot issues in real-time (traffic, weather, breakdowns) and implement smart, swift solutions.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and create reports that inform and improve operations.
- Ensure DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulation compliance every mile of the way.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in transportation or fleet operations
- Strong communication, team leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving chops
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and TMS platforms
- Local knowledge of logistics, dispatching, and routing best practices
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience using Samara ELD systems
