Technical Motion Designer (Rive)
We are seeking a talented Technical Motion Designer with a focus on Rive technology to join our innovative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend motion design with front-end engineering in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement interactive animations using Rive across various product surfaces.
- Translate motion concepts into production-ready assets while ensuring performance and scalability.
- Own the animation logic, including state machines and databinds within Rive.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate animations into real products.
- Define best practices for motion design and implementation.
- Build tools for designers to modify Rive files at runtime.
Skills
- Strong front-end engineering skills, particularly in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in Rive, including experience with state machines and advanced databinds.
- Solid understanding of animation principles such as timing and choreography.
- Ability to debug and iterate on motion directly in code.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively between design and engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with React, React Native, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with animation tools like After Effects.
- Background in building design systems or reusable motion systems.
- Interest in real-time, interactive, or generative animation.
