Technical Writer

Join our Technical Writing team Our team is responsible for creating content that assists both users and developers working with Akamai products. Writers specialize in UI text, in-product user assistance, product documentation, and API/Developer materials. Help us deliver best-in-class documentation As a Technical Writer, you'll join an already-established writing team focused on creating customer-facing content. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Engineering, Product Management. Technical Support, Developer Advocacy, and Quality Assurance to develop high-quality content to enhance our customer experience. You'll create both reference and task-based content that enables and supports Akamai's customers. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for: Working closely with product managers and engineers to plan user-assistance projects, anticipate documentation needs, solve problems Driving documentation projects through the complete development cycle, with the help and guidance Taking care of scope deliverables, set schedules, talk to subject matter experts, write, edit, and produce Learning and mastering new documentation tools, methods, and delivery mechanisms as the work requires Creating and maintaining all types of technical documentation and application content aimed at Akamai customers Creating UI text and in-app guidance to help customers navigate through Akamai products and Understanding user goals and working with cross-functional teams to scope the user assistance deliverables Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Possess excellent communication and writing skills in English Have analytical skills to process complex technical information Be capable of writing clear, concise, and engaging copy that guides users through product experiences Be familiar with content development tools and have a solid understanding of Markdown Have experience writing UI text, in-app guidance, product documentation, and API documentation Have a desire to stimulate yourself and learn new skills Build your career at Akamai Our ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
