As a Veterinary Technology Sales Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our team, driving sales growth and delivering innovative solutions to veterinary customers. Job Summary As a Veterinary Technology Sales Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in evaluating current customer business practices and making strategic recommendations on integrating Patterson technologies with their existing practice systems. This is a fully remote position that requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You'll develop and execute branch technology sales and installations to achieve budgeted sales volume and other established goals, including increasing market penetration and maintaining acceptable gross profit levels on all technology sales.

Key Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Technology Sales Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Actively identifying opportunities and selling Patterson Veterinary technology products and solutions to assist account growth and meet business needs
  • Achieving and exceeding regular sales goals and targets presented by the Territory Sales Manager (TSM)
  • Developing a territory sales plan to achieve goals, which will be approved by the TSM
  • Recording accurate sales activity and notes as required by the TSM
  • Collaborating with territory managers, branch managers, customers, vendors, and other Company personnel to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Consulting with customers to assess and meet their technology needs, designing software solutions and business flows that suit their needs
  • Recommending improvements and upgrades as appropriate
  • Acting as an ongoing advisor to Patterson Vet customers regarding their technology structure and software packages
  • Ensuring appropriate paperwork is completed and financial arrangements are secured to complete sales
  • Collaborating with the Product Technical Consultants (PTCs) to resolve software issues as necessary
  • Attending, participating in, and supporting meetings and activities (technology events and marketing activities) as requested by the branch manager, region manager, or corporate office

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong user knowledge of MS Windows
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one veterinary practice management and/or clinical software application
  • Knowledge of the veterinary industry and general practices

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
