Tech stack: Kotlin Jetpack components Android Automotive OS (AAOS) Android UI Architecture REST APIs Local storage Offline-first architecture Map rendering / navigation SDKs (Mapbox, HERE – optional) Car App Library (nice to have) Agile Requirements: Strong experience in Android Automotive application development using Kotlin and Jetpack Experience developing applications for Android Automotive OS or Android-based embedded platforms Understanding of Android UI architecture and automotive UX constraints Experience integrating REST APIs, local storage, and offline-capable application flows Familiarity with performance optimization and debugging on constrained hardware platforms Experience working in Agile software development environments Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow Nice to have: Car App Library & Driver Distraction knowledge Experience with Mapbox / HERE Multi-display automotive systems experience Offline-first architecture knowledge OEM integration familiarity Project description: Development of an Offroad Navigation application for Android Automotive OS deployed on an Automotive IVI system. The project focuses on porting and adapting an existing mobile navigation application to the IVI environment while ensuring stable, high-performance, and automotive-compliant UX across supported vehicle display surfaces.
