Certified Math Teacher / Virtual K-12 Math Tutor

Certified Math Teacher / Virtual K-12 Math Tutor Connected Tutors is a small, specialized virtual tutoring practice serving K-12 students nationwide. We are hiring a certified teacher with strong math experience to support students in one-on-one and small-group virtual tutoring sessions. This role is best for an educator who can make math feel clear, approachable, and confidence-building for students who may feel anxious, discouraged, behind, or convinced they are “not a math person.” Applicants who appear to fit our openings will be sent a Google Form as the next step in the hiring process. About the Role

Tutors at Connected Tutors work closely with students in recurring weekly virtual sessions. You will deliver structured, personalized math instruction while adapting to each student’s learning style, attention, confidence, and emotional state. Our students include learners with ADHD, dyslexia, executive function challenges, anxiety, math gaps, and school avoidance, as well as students seeking enrichment or acceleration. This is not a worksheet-only or plug-and-play curriculum role. We are looking for teachers who can explain concepts clearly, notice what a student is missing, and adjust instruction in real time. Math Areas We Are Hiring For We are especially interested in certified teachers with experience in one or more of the following:

• Upper elementary math
• Middle school math
• Pre-algebra
• Algebra
• Geometry
• Foundational math intervention
• Math confidence rebuilding
• Study skills and academic coaching for math
• Test prep math, if applicable

High school math experience is strongly preferred, but not required for every candidate. Who We’re Looking For Strong candidates will have:

• An active teaching certification in any U.S. state
• Classroom, tutoring, intervention, or special education experience
• Strong ability to teach math clearly and patiently
• Experience supporting students with ADHD, anxiety, executive function challenges, or learning differences
• Comfort teaching virtually through Google Meet or similar tools
• Availability during weekday afternoons and evenings
• Reliability with recurring weekly sessions
• Warmth, professionalism, and strong communication with families
• A flexible teaching style that balances structure with responsiveness

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree, special education experience, or math-specific certification is a plus.
