Job Summary As an Automotive Diesel Technician with Workwarp, you will be responsible for undertaking preventive maintenance services, carrying out thorough inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on equipment and vehicles. You will work under general supervision, using your skills and expertise to ensure that vehicles are running smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out restoration and anticipatory maintenance services on vehicles and equipment
  • Inspect, diagnose, and correct electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air constructions on automobiles and vehicles
  • Use advanced vehicle computer systems to detect and analyze potential failure modes, facilitating prompt and effective repairs
  • Evaluate the anticipated costs of repairing automobiles and procuring new parts
  • Consistently meet Standard Repair Time (SRT) requirements while performing all tasks
  • Attend to emergent requests for service with quick turnaround times
  • Perform comprehensive safety assessments on vehicles to prevent potential hazards from occurring
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to document vehicle repairs, track part usage, and account for repair times
  • Collaborate with and support senior Mechanics to finish project tasks
  • Regularly monitor Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports to ensure that necessary repairs are assigned and completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain a secure and tidy workspace at all times, in accordance with Corporate and OSHA Standards for safety

Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements:

Essential Qualifications

  • 2 years of pertinent work experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician
  • A clean driving record and possession of a valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the job, regardless of the need for reasonable accommodations
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical exam prior to being hired

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with advanced vehicle computer systems
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Skilled use of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, such as operating equipment or typing, for the majority of the workday
  • Physical effort when working with objects that weigh less than a certain amount

  • Capacity to work with hazardous chemicals and materials
