[Remote] Analyst - Sourcing Services

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ProAmpac is seeking an Analyst, Sourcing Services to support strategic sourcing, procurement performance, and supply chain efficiency across their manufacturing operations. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support sourcing strategies and procurement decisions, aiming to optimize procurement activity and drive measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain activity to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and stronger business performance
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives by gathering internal usage data, market intelligence, supplier information, and industry trends
  • Prepare reports summarizing procurement trends, including usage rates, forecasted needs, lead times, supplier performance, and inventory considerations
  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce risks related to excess or insufficient materials
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to business leaders in a clear, practical, and actionable way
  • Measure the results of implemented improvement strategies and track progress against expected outcomes
  • Support supplier evaluation efforts, including proposal and quote analysis based on quality, cost, service, and other business criteria
  • Recommend alternate vendors, materials, or purchasing options to reduce cost, improve efficiency, or support better outcomes
  • Help gather business requirements and identify supplier pre‑qualifiers for potential sourcing opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support the movement of raw materials or in‑process goods to meet production and customer expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive business, supplier, and financial information

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, analytics, manufacturing, operations, finance, or a similar business function
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities
  • Solid mathematical reasoning and comfort working with data to support recommendations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Sound judgment, proactive decision‑making, and the ability to develop practical solutions
  • Self‑motivated, professional, and comfortable working with internal partners, external suppliers, and business leaders
