[Remote] Business Development Manager

Mission 7 Solutions is a fast-growing logistics brokerage dedicated to helping businesses move freight efficiently and cost-effectively. They are seeking an ambitious Business Development Associate to generate new business opportunities and build relationships with prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research prospective customers across various industries
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking activities
  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities
  • Schedule meetings and sales presentations with decision-makers
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers
  • Manage customer and prospect information within CRM systems
  • Follow up consistently with leads and opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to develop transportation solutions
  • Maintain a strong understanding of freight markets and logistics trends
  • Meet or exceed activity and sales goals

Skills

  • Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing new business
  • Relationship management and customer service skills to build trust with shippers and carrier partners
  • Knowledge of freight transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations, or a strong interest in learning this domain
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting data, developing tailored solutions, and creating competitive proposals
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and common office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, and email platforms)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or B2B sales
