You will be writing and filing news stories every day that go out to hundreds of media organisations across the country. • Research and write accurate news stories on daily assignments
• File copy quickly and cleanly to meet tight deadlines
• Conduct interviews with sources, spokespeople, and members of the public
• Verify facts before publishing — accuracy is everything at PA Media
• Cover breaking news as it happens and update stories when needed
• Work closely with editors and sub-editors to get copy right
• Pitch story ideas when you spot something worth covering

Working Hours

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work during breaking news
• Flexible start and end times within reason
• Must be reachable during core UK news hours
