They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Golang expertise to design, build, and maintain backend systems for a modern e-commerce marketplace, focusing on scalable API development and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain clean, secure, and well-documented REST and gRPC APIs
• Lead backend architecture discussions and provide technical direction across engineering teams
• Review pull requests and mentor engineers by providing technical guidance and best practices
• Develop and maintain Airflow data pipelines using Python DAGs for real-time and batch processing
• Build, optimize, and support distributed backend services and event-driven systems
• Implement scalable messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka or similar platforms
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Ensure backend services are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable

Skills

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
• 3+ years of production experience developing applications with Golang
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems on GCP or similar cloud platforms
• Strong experience building enterprise-grade REST and gRPC APIs
• Hands-on experience developing Airflow DAGs using Python or similar workflow orchestration tools
• Experience building and supporting batch processing and event-driven architectures
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and service deployment
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience working in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Hands-on experience with GCP-native services, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Run
• Experience designing highly scalable, cloud-native backend systems
• Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and distributed computing
