[Remote] Social Media Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Digital Rx Corporation is a boutique digital consulting agency specializing in strategic digital marketing solutions. They are seeking a Social Media Manager to craft and execute social strategies for a diverse range of clients, focusing on content creation, platform management, and performance analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage platform-specific content calendars across a varied portfolio of business clients, tailoring each to the client’s archetype — B2B manufacturer, local service, or institution — and to their goals, audience, and seasonality
  • Produce custom-branded graphics and short-form video yourself using tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite — owning a high share of creative production rather than relying solely on the design team
  • Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and publishing through Buffer (our social media management platform), with a LinkedIn-forward approach for B2B clients and Meta/Google emphasis for local-service clients
  • Build every post to proven engagement benchmarks — researching and applying trending, relevant hashtags (including hashtag-generator tools), incorporating website deep links, and writing concise, mobile-first copy. Posts should read as authentic, human, and genuinely engaging; generic, obviously AI-written copy is not what we are looking for
  • Build and run paid social campaigns — including setting up third-party audience targeting, managing ad budgets, and continuously optimizing — to reach the right segments and drive measurable results
  • Help generate clear, regular performance reports — tracking reach, engagement, and conversions — and translate the data into insights and recommendations for the next cycle
  • Write engaging, on-brand copy tailored to each client’s voice and audience, from B2B thought leadership to local-service promotions, adapting tone and format to each platform
  • For clients whose service plans include community management, monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in each client’s brand voice, fostering engaged communities and routing inquiries to the right internal contact
  • Work closely with account managers, designers, and leadership — coordinating projects and files in Basecamp — to incorporate promotions, campaigns, and client-specific priorities, and to repurpose blog, SEO, and other content into social where it adds value

Skills

  • Must physically reside in the United States — Digital Rx hires U.S.-based candidates only, nationwide (non-negotiable)
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, with hands-on paid social experience
  • Hands-on expertise building graphics and short-form video with tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite — this role is expected to self-produce a high share of content
  • Demonstrated ability to set up third-party audience targeting, manage paid social ad budgets, and optimize campaigns to a goal
  • Ability to help generate and interpret reporting analytics, turning performance data into clear recommendations
  • Experience managing posting and scheduling through Buffer or a comparable social media management platform
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an adaptable voice across very different client brands
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client calendars and priorities independently in a remote setting
  • A strong instinct for what makes a post perform — trend- and hashtag-aware, mobile-first, with authentic copy that never reads as generic or templated
  • A proactive attitude, creative thinking, and a genuine passion for digital marketing
  • Agency or multi-account experience strongly preferred
  • B2B/manufacturer, local-service, or multi-vertical experience is a strong plus, along with fluency in creating LinkedIn-forward, thought-leadership content
