This role involves creating clear and user-friendly technical documentation to assist national border security agents in their operations.

Responsibilities

• Draft Technical Documentation: Research, write, and format detailed operational guides, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support Curriculum Development: Edit, proofread, and storyboard CBT training scripts, lesson guides, and study manuals
• Enforce Style Standards: Maintain and distribute templates and style guides, ensuring complete compliance with CBP writing directives
• Manage Repositories: Maintain highly structured documentation repositories, ensuring rigorous version control and accessibility

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, or a closely related role
• Bachelor's degree in Professional Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• High proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and modern Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
