About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced, motivated, and client-focused Tax Preparer Consultants to join our team for the 2027 tax season. As a Tax Preparer Consultant, you will prepare accurate federal and state tax returns, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with IRS regulations and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns.
• Conduct client interviews to gather tax-related information.
• Analyze financial records, tax documents, and supporting schedules.
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and filing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Meet established deadlines and productivity goals.
• Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive client information.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 1 year of professional tax preparation experience, but welcome new consultants.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience preparing Form 1040 and related schedules.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable internet connection and secure workspace.

Preferred

• PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) in good standing.
• Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, or other relevant tax credentials.
• Experience with multiple tax software platforms.
• Small business, self-employed, and Schedule C preparation experience.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
