[Remote] Media Buyer, Youtube

Remote · Netherlands Full-time

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxford Road is the world’s largest podcast advertising agency, specializing in uniting brands and creators through innovative strategies. The YouTube Media Buyer will plan, negotiate, buy, and optimize influencer media campaigns, ensuring quality and effectiveness in collaboration with internal teams and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop client-focused media plans with full rationale — rate, timing, placement, and strategic fit
  • Check prior pitches and run history before building a plan
  • Champion cost-efficiency in every negotiation; we view initial rates as a starting point, not a final answer
  • Verify channel activity, content fit, and view accuracy
  • Maintain a rolling pipeline of proposals and manage budgets alongside the client services team
  • Lead day-to-day execution on campaigns with senior oversight
  • Monitor and analyze performance against client KPIs; implement real-time optimizations
  • Address ad hoc client requests to support strategy and evolving needs
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation and resolution for delivery or billing discrepancies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with networks and talent
  • Play an essential role in negotiating agency-wide partnership deals

Skills

  • Proven experience in media planning and buying
  • Strong negotiation instincts; you view rates as starting points, not ceilings
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize accordingly
  • Strong communication skills; you can confidently defend every plan detail
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment
  • Ambition to master the YouTube landscape and define the future of creator-led media
  • Preferably in the influencer or YouTube advertising space
