Cardinal Health is a leading healthcare services and products company, and they are seeking a Staff Engineer for their Commercial Technologies Software Engineering team. This role involves developing design options, process improvements, and back-end solutions to maximize performance and suitability for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design
• Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams
• Collaborate with internal peers
• Follow Cardinal Health’s software development lifecycle
• Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input
• Present live demos to senior business partners, unit CTO and senior leadership on a multi-million-dollar initiative
• Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results
• Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders
• Enforcing sound development practices and ensuring the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully

Skills

• Background in developing applications in a J2EE, Java Web services (Micro Service/Rest Service)
• Experience with multiple development languages including Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Google Cloud
• Experience in an Agile environment
• 4-8 years of experience preferred
• BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
• Advance Degree preferred
