[Remote] Web Content Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ITR Group is seeking a Web Content Specialist to join their Digital Experience team. The role involves creating and optimizing engaging web content while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the client's digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and maintain website content that is clear, engaging, and user-focused
  • Translate complex business concepts into easy-to-understand, customer-friendly language
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, editorial guidelines, and governance requirements
  • Review, proofread, and quality assure content prior to publication
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to develop accurate and effective messaging
  • Recommend improvements to content structure, organization, and user experience
  • Optimize web content for organic search using SEO best practices
  • Develop and maintain metadata, keywords, internal linking, and structured content
  • Utilize keyword research and search intent to improve content performance
  • Support content optimization for emerging AI-powered search and generative search experiences
  • Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on analytics and user behavior
  • Create content that follows accessibility standards and inclusive content practices
  • Apply plain language principles to improve readability and usability
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure content accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Review content for accessibility requirements, including heading structure, alternative text, and page organization
  • Publish and manage content within the organization's Content Management System (CMS)
  • Maintain consistency across web pages, digital assets, and metadata
  • Support website enhancements, campaign launches, and ongoing content updates
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining structured and modular content to improve scalability and content reuse
  • Analyze website content performance and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Participate in website enhancements, redesign initiatives, and content migration efforts
  • Stay current on evolving SEO trends, digital content best practices, accessibility standards, and AI-assisted content technologies
  • Contribute ideas that improve content processes, governance, and overall digital experience

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing website content using a Content Management System (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, Contentful, or similar platforms
  • Strong web writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, content optimization, and digital publishing best practices
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive content principles
  • Experience working with structured or modular content models
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience supporting website redesigns, migrations, or enterprise digital transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Experience using AI-assisted content tools or knowledge of emerging AI search optimization (Generative Engine Optimization/GEO)
  • Background in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or another regulated industry
  • Experience working with Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Product Information Management (PIM) systems
  • Familiarity with UX writing, content design, or content strategy methodologies
  • Working knowledge of HTML and web publishing concepts
